ECHDO and Corience joint workshop: sharing knowledge, exchanging experiences

ECHDO—the European Congenital Heart Disease Organisation—and Corience will hold a joint workshop in Berlin on November 7–8th, 2008. Parent organisations, self-help groups, doctors and scientists from 20 European countries are invited to learn more about medical issues in the treatment of congenital heart defects, and to share ideas about how to cooperate and participate in the development of ECHDO and Corience.

During various guided workshops, the delegates will be given the opportunity to get in touch with similar organisations from all over Europe. They will be able to exchange experiences and learn from other organisations’ success stories. The meeting aims to connect all members of the community to enhance debate and discussion about important issues. Central topics will include the development of network cooperation, fundraising and lobbying both locally and at a European level. Several lectures on medical issues are also planned.
