Constanze Pfitzer specialises in paediatrics and adolescent medicine at the Clinic for Congenital Heart Defects – Paediatric Cardiology at the German Heart Centre Charité (DHZC). She is currently training to become a paediatric cardiologist. Her research focuses on the psychomotor development of patients with congenital heart defects, from newborns to adults. She completed her habilitation in this field in 2020. In 2024, she was awarded the Science Prize by the German Society for Paediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Defects (DGPK) in recognition of her work. From 2016 to 2023, she was a clinician scientist and fellow at the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH).
